Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Abstraction by Chao Chung-Hsiang was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 900,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 109,254.50). Admittedly, works by Chao Chung-Hsiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Five Phases in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 5,840,000.00 (€ 657,963.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Abstraction von Chao Chung-Hsiang wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 900.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 109.254,50) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chao Chung-Hsiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Five Phases im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.840.000,00 (€ 657.963,46).
