The price achieved of GBP 956.25 (€ 1,122.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chalkie Davies - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Ramones, Back Door To CBGB's, 1977, printed later, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,490.91).
