Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2021 Artcurial in Marrakech held the auction A Moroccan Spring, which included the work Composition, 1974 by Chaïbia Talal. The »bidding war« ended at MAD 97,500.00 (€ 8,555.44), 22% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Chaïbia Talal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Mariée, 1988 in December 2021 with an auction result of MAD 728,000.00 (€ 68,824.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Artcurial in Marrakesch die Auktion A Moroccan Spring durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition, 1974 von Chaïbia Talal zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von MAD 97.500,00 (€ 8.555,44) und damit 22% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chaïbia Talal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Mariée, 1988 im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von MAD 728.000,00 (€ 68.824,88).
