It achieved a price of ITL 5,880,000.00 (€ 5,284.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cesare Gheduzzi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sulla Spiaggia A Novi Ligure, which sold at auction in June 2001 for EUR 12,250.00.

Die Arbeit Pastorella e pecore al torrente von Cesare Gheduzzi wurde im Dezember 2001 in der Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO bei Christies in Rom versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von ITL 5.880.000,00 (€ 5.284,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Für andere Arbeiten von Cesare Gheduzzi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sulla Spiaggia A Novi Ligure beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für EUR 12.250,00 versteigert wurde.
