The »bidding war« ended at EUR 360.00 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cesare Gheduzzi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sulla Spiaggia A Novi Ligure in June 2001 with an auction result of EUR 12,250.00.

Die Arbeit Arco di Tito con il Colosseo sullo sfondo von Cesare Gheduzzi wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion 19th and 20th Century Paintings and Sculptures bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 360,00 und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cesare Gheduzzi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sulla Spiaggia A Novi Ligure im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.250,00.
