Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Timan by César Manrique was auctioned at Christies in Milan in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,032.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by César Manrique have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Creciendo in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 21,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Timan von César Manrique kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Mailand zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.032,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von César Manrique auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Creciendo im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 21.600,00.
