Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by César Manrique achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Madrid in October 2007. In the The Spanish Sale, The Westin Palace Hotel, Madrid auction, the work Trapo sold for EUR 13,450.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by César Manrique; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Creciendo sold at auction in October 2006 with the realized price of EUR 21,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von César Manrique erzielte im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in Madrid einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Spanish Sale, The Westin Palace Hotel, Madrid wurde die Arbeit Trapo für EUR 13.450,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von César Manrique; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Creciendo im Oktober 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 21.600,00.
