Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Smoke gets in your eyes" by Cecilia Sikström was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 5,000.00 (€ 581.31). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cecilia Sikström - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Fjärilvingad', which sold at auction in October this year for SEK 18,000.00 (€ 1,524.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Smoke gets in your eyes" von Cecilia Sikström im Mai 2013 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 5.000,00 (€ 581,31) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Cecilia Sikström mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Fjärilvingad' beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für SEK 18.000,00 (€ 1.524,41) versteigert wurde.
