In April this year Bonhams held the auction Home & Interiors, which included the work Still life of poppies by Cecil Kennedy. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,422.50 (€ 2,760.86), 62% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Kennedy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 80,750.00 (€ 127,998.69).

Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Home & Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life of poppies von Cecil Kennedy zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.422,50 (€ 2.760,86) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Kennedy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 80.750,00 (€ 127.998,69).
