Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Still life of flowers in a silver vase, a self portrait reflected in the vase by Cecil Kennedy. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,648.45). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Kennedy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 80,750.00 (€ 127,998.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life of flowers in a silver vase, a self portrait reflected in the vase von Cecil Kennedy zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.648,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Kennedy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 80.750,00 (€ 127.998,69).
