Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction European & British Art, which included the work Madame Buttefly Roses by Cecil Kennedy. The price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,514.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Kennedy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 80,750.00 (€ 127,998.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European & British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madame Buttefly Roses von Cecil Kennedy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.514,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Kennedy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 80.750,00 (€ 127.998,69).
