Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Lilies and other flowers by Cecil Kennedy. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,864.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Kennedy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 80,750.00 (€ 127,998.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lilies and other flowers von Cecil Kennedy zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.864,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Kennedy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 80.750,00 (€ 127.998,69).
