The »bidding war« ended at GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,831.94), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Caspar Netscher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Feeding A Parrot in June 2014 with an auction result of USD 5,093,000.00 (€ 3,720,233.75).
