Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2018 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle, which included the work Portrait Of Two Young Girls In A Park, One Playing With A Dog, The Other Holding A Carnation From A Pot by Caspar Netscher. The price achieved of EUR 35,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Caspar Netscher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Feeding A Parrot in June 2014 with an auction result of USD 5,093,000.00 (€ 3,720,233.75).

Im Juni 2018 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Two Young Girls In A Park, One Playing With A Dog, The Other Holding A Carnation From A Pot von Caspar Netscher zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 35.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Caspar Netscher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman Feeding A Parrot im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.093.000,00 (€ 3.720.233,75).
