Die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, said to be Barbara Villiers, Duchess of Cleveland, three-quarter-length, in a silver dress von Caspar Netscher kam im Oktober 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 27.400,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 37 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Caspar Netscher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman Feeding A Parrot im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.093.000,00 (€ 3.720.233,75).
