A top price for Carlo Sellitto - as previously expected
The work Cristo lava i piedi agli Apostoli by Carlo Sellitto was sold in the DIPINTI E DISEGNI ANTICHI auction at Christies in Rome in December 2003. The price achieved of EUR 183,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cristo lava i piedi agli Apostoli is the most expensive artwork by Carlo Sellitto that we have observed at auctions so far.
