Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Virgin And Child Seated With A Book Of Hours by Carlo Portelli was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2010. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 56,450.00 (€ 64,962.91). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Portelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Holy Family with the Infant Saint John the Baptist, which sold at auction in July 2000 for GBP 108,250.00 (€ 175,038.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Virgin And Child Seated With A Book Of Hours von Carlo Portelli kam im April 2010 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 56.450,00 (€ 64.962,91) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlo Portelli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Holy Family with the Infant Saint John the Baptist beobachtet, die im Juli 2000 für GBP 108.250,00 (€ 175.038,82) versteigert wurde.
