Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Phillips in New York held the auction Design & Design Art, which included the work Armchair, from the RAI auditorium, Turin, Italy by Carlo Mollino. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,546.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Mollino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Important And Unique Dining Table in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 6,181,350.00 (€ 5,307,246.50).

Im Dezember 2006 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Design & Design Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Armchair, from the RAI auditorium, Turin, Italy von Carlo Mollino zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.546,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Mollino erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Important And Unique Dining Table im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.181.350,00 (€ 5.307.246,50).
