Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work The Holy Family, With Saint Joseph Embracing The Christ Child by Carlo Maratti for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,921.79). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Maratti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tobias and the Angel in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 1,216,000.00 (€ 1,306,403.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Holy Family, With Saint Joseph Embracing The Christ Child von Carlo Maratti für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.921,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Maratti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tobias and the Angel im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.216.000,00 (€ 1.306.403,09).
