This artwork by Carlo Maratti achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2019. In the Old Master Drawings: Online auction, the work A vision of the Cross sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,250.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Maratti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tobias and the Angel in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 1,216,000.00 (€ 1,306,403.09).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Carlo Maratti erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Drawings: Online wurde die Arbeit A vision of the Cross für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.250,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Maratti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tobias and the Angel im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.216.000,00 (€ 1.306.403,09).
