In July 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work The Holy Family, The Madonna And Child Reading by Carlo Maratti. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 87,500.00 (€ 103,968.93), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Maratti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tobias and the Angel in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 1,216,000.00 (€ 1,306,403.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Holy Family, The Madonna And Child Reading von Carlo Maratti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 103.968,93) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Maratti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tobias and the Angel im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.216.000,00 (€ 1.306.403,09).
