Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Marriage of Hercules and Hebe by Carlo Innocenzo Carlone was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,016.00 (€ 1,745.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Innocenzo Carlone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A bozzetto for a ceiling: Merit crowned by Nobility in September 2005 with an auction result of USD 54,000.00 (€ 44,783.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Marriage of Hercules and Hebe von Carlo Innocenzo Carlone kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.016,00 (€ 1.745,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Innocenzo Carlone erzielen.
