Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bacchus and Ariadne - a pair of bozzetti by Carlo Innocenzo Carlone was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2017. It achieved a price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,508.27), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlo Innocenzo Carlone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A bozzetto for a ceiling: Merit crowned by Nobility, which sold at auction in September 2005 for USD 54,000.00 (€ 44,783.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bacchus and Ariadne - a pair of bozzetti von Carlo Innocenzo Carlone kam im März 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.508,27) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlo Innocenzo Carlone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A bozzetto for a ceiling: Merit crowned by Nobility beobachtet, die im September 2005 für USD 54.000,00 (€ 44.783,55) versteigert wurde.
