Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vénus Et Un Satyre Dans Un Paysage Boisé by Carlo Cignani was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings and Paintings auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 22,350.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Cignani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Allegory of the Five Senses in January last year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 292,186.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vénus Et Un Satyre Dans Un Paysage Boisé von Carlo Cignani wurde im Juni 2009 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings and Paintings bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 22.350,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Cignani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Allegory of the Five Senses im Januar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 292.186,94).
