Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2012 Christies in Paris held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Hercules and Omphale by Carlo Cignani. The price achieved of GBP 145,250.00 (€ 179,133.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Other works by Carlo Cignani have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January last year the work An Allegory of the Five Senses was auctioned for USD 327,600.00 (€ 292,186.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hercules and Omphale von Carlo Cignani zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 145.250,00 (€ 179.133,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Carlo Cignani konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Januar letzten Jahres die Arbeit An Allegory of the Five Senses für USD 327.600,00 (€ 292.186,94) versteigert.
