In the OLD MASTER PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND FRAMES auction, the work A putto holding an urn changed hands for USD 1,880.00 (€ 2,223.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Cignani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Allegory of the Five Senses in January last year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 292,186.94).
