Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction Studio Art, which included the work Roaring Waterfall by Carleton Wiggins. The price achieved of USD 892.50 (€ 834.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Carleton Wiggins have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Evening Row, Long Island in February this year with an auction result of USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,810.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion Studio Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roaring Waterfall von Carleton Wiggins zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 892,50 (€ 834,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 600,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carleton Wiggins auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Evening Row, Long Island im Februar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.100,00 (€ 4.810,41).
