The work The young botanist by Carl Wilhelm Friedrich Bauerle was sold in the 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART auction at Christies in London in March 2003. The price achieved of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 6,808.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Carl Wilhelm Friedrich Bauerle have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2007 the work Mummy, See! was auctioned for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,367.08).
