In July 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings, which included the work Mummy, See! by Carl Wilhelm Friedrich Bauerle. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,367.08), 29% above the upper estimate. With this result, Mummy, See! is even the most expensive work of art by Carl Wilhelm Friedrich Bauerle that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mummy, See! von Carl Wilhelm Friedrich Bauerle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.367,08) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Mummy, See! sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Carl Wilhelm Friedrich Bauerle, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
