This artwork by Carl Rungius achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Spaniel Dickey With Pheasant sold for USD 28,125.00 (€ 21,876.94) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Rungius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alaskan Brown Bear-Out of the Shadows in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 581,500.00 (€ 554,601.81).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Carl Rungius erzielte im September 2012 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
