Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A pincher by Carl Reichert was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carl Reichert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seeing After The Pups in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 23,764.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A pincher von Carl Reichert im Mai 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 3.000,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Reichert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seeing After The Pups im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 23.764,26).
