Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Sunset over Stockholm by Carl Johan Fahlcrantz was worth SEK 48,000.00 (€ 4,433.66) to a buyer in June last year. This price was achieved in the auction Important Spring Sale at Bukowski in Stockholm and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of SEK 15,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Carl Johan Fahlcrantz; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Stockholm from Djurgården sold at auction in June 2016 with the realized price of SEK 65,000.00 (€ 6,928.93).

Die Arbeit Sunset over Stockholm von Carl Johan Fahlcrantz war einem Käufer im Juni letzten Jahres SEK 48.000,00 (€ 4.433,66) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Important Spring Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von SEK 15.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Carl Johan Fahlcrantz; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Stockholm from Djurgården im Juni 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von SEK 65.000,00 (€ 6.928,93).
