This price was achieved in the auction Important Spring Sale at Bukowski in Stockholm and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of SEK 15,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Carl Johan Fahlcrantz; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Stockholm from Djurgården sold at auction in June 2016 with the realized price of SEK 65,000.00 (€ 6,928.93).
