Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On The Way From Sinai To Cairo by Carl Haag was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2011. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,379.88) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Haag achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dome Of The Rock, Jerusalem in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 71,250.00 (€ 82,644.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit On The Way From Sinai To Cairo von Carl Haag wurde im Januar 2011 in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.379,88) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Haag erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dome Of The Rock, Jerusalem im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.250,00 (€ 82.644,89).
