Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Dance of the Almeh by Carl Haag was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,898.64), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Haag - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dome Of The Rock, Jerusalem, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 71,250.00 (€ 82,644.89).

Die Arbeit Dance of the Almeh von Carl Haag kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.898,64) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Haag mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Dome Of The Rock, Jerusalem beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 71.250,00 (€ 82.644,89) versteigert wurde.
