This artwork by Carl Haag achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2011. In the European Paintings auction, the work German the Sheikh And His Guide sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,510.96) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carl Haag have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Dome Of The Rock, Jerusalem in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 71,250.00 (€ 82,644.89).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Carl Haag erzielte im November 2011 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion European Paintings wurde die Arbeit German the Sheikh And His Guide für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.510,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Haag auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Dome Of The Rock, Jerusalem im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.250,00 (€ 82.644,89).
