Despite a disappointment, a good price for Carl Frederik Sørensen
When the work The Pool of London by Carl Frederik Sørensen was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 20,160.00 (€ 24,074.62). Despite this disappointing result, The Pool of London is the most expensive artwork by Carl Frederik Sørensen that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit The Pool of London von Carl Frederik Sørensen im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
