Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Danish seascape by Carl Frederik Sørensen. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,971.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Frederik Sørensen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Pool of London, which sold at auction in July last year for GBP 20,160.00 (€ 24,074.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Danish seascape von Carl Frederik Sørensen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.971,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Frederik Sørensen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Pool of London beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für GBP 20.160,00 (€ 24.074,62) versteigert wurde.
