Auction result fails to reach estimate
In August this year a collector was able to acquire the work A view from a coast with sailing ships in the distance by Carl Ludwig Bille for DKK 4,800.00 (€ 643.90). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 6,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Carl Ludwig Bille have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A French man-of-war in high seas in September this year with an auction result of DKK 35,000.00 (€ 4,692.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im August diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A view from a coast with sailing ships in the distance von Carl Ludwig Bille für DKK 4.800,00 (€ 643,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Ludwig Bille auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A French man-of-war in high seas im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 35.000,00 (€ 4.692,46).
