Auction result fails to reach estimate
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Fregatten Jylland in stormy weather by Carl Ludwig Bille for DKK 1,500.00 (€ 1,310.96). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 6,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Ludwig Bille - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A French man-of-war in high seas, which sold at auction in September this year for DKK 35,000.00 (€ 4,692.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im Januar 2024 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Fregatten Jylland in stormy weather von Carl Ludwig Bille für DKK 1.500,00 (€ 1.310,96) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Ludwig Bille mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A French man-of-war in high seas beobachtet, die im September diesen Jahres für DKK 35.000,00 (€ 4.692,46) versteigert wurde.
