Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Winter by Carel Weight for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,442.74). This price was achieved in the auction Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carel Weight achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Thames at Hammersmith in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 53,887.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Winter von Carel Weight für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.442,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carel Weight erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Thames at Hammersmith im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.250,00 (€ 53.887,60).
