Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work De weg naar Selò: an Indonesian landscape with the Merapi in the distance by Carel Lodewijk Dake. The price achieved of EUR 1,410.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Admittedly, works by Carel Lodewijk Dake have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A moonlit temple in September 2012 with an auction result of EUR 8,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit De weg naar Selò: an Indonesian landscape with the Merapi in the distance von Carel Lodewijk Dake zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.410,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carel Lodewijk Dake auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A moonlit temple im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.750,00.
