In November last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Baron & Baroness Vaxelaire Collection, which included the work Voyageurs près de la rivière et Voyageurs avec un château entouré d'eau dans le lointain by Carel Beschey. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 34,112.00 71% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Carel Beschey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Winter Landscape With Hunters And Skaters On A Frozen River Running Through A Village; A Summer Landscape With Villagers Resting By A Stream in December 2009 with an auction result of GBP 145,250.00 (€ 163,847.11).

Im November letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Baron & Baroness Vaxelaire Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Voyageurs près de la rivière et Voyageurs avec un château entouré d'eau dans le lointain von Carel Beschey zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 34.112,00 und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carel Beschey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Winter Landscape With Hunters And Skaters On A Frozen River Running Through A Village; A Summer Landscape With Villagers Resting By A Stream im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.250,00 (€ 163.847,11).
