In May 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Communication Series No. 4 - Temple of Heaven by Cang Xin. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,454.16), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Cang Xin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harmony of Nature and Human Series in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 29,295.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Communication Series No. 4 - Temple of Heaven von Cang Xin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.454,16) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cang Xin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Harmony of Nature and Human Series im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.400,00 (€ 29.295,74).
