Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cang Xin could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Communication Series 2 (Two Works) changed hands for HKD 9,375.00 (€ 865.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cang Xin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Harmony of Nature and Human Series in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 29,295.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cang Xin konnte im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Communication Series 2 (Two Works) für HKD 9.375,00 (€ 865,78) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cang Xin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Harmony of Nature and Human Series im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.400,00 (€ 29.295,74).
