Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sowing The Seeds of Love Again by Candice Breitz was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in New York in July 2012. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,319.53). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Candice Breitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Double Olivia (Hopelessly Devoted To You) in April 2016 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 15,179.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sowing The Seeds of Love Again von Candice Breitz wurde im Juli 2012 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.319,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Candice Breitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Double Olivia (Hopelessly Devoted To You) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 15.179,78).
