Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Queen for a day by Candice Breitz for USD 500.00 (€ 404.24). This price was achieved in the auction AFRICA Theme Sale at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Candice Breitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Double Olivia (Hopelessly Devoted To You) in April 2016 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 15,179.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Queen for a day von Candice Breitz für USD 500,00 (€ 404,24) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion AFRICA Theme Sale bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Candice Breitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Double Olivia (Hopelessly Devoted To You) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 15.179,78).
