etching, circa 1587-90, watermark Fleur-de-Lys in a Circle with Coronet, a very good impression of this rare print, first state (of two), printing with vertical wiping marks throughout, printing unevenly as usual, trimmed outside or just to the borderline, a horizontal central crease with some small paper splits and losses, all skilfully and unobtrusively repaired, another horizontal fold faintly visible below, otherwise generally in good condition

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2013 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work The Transfiguration (B. 4) by Camillo Procaccini. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,269.56). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Camillo Procaccini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buste D'Homme Criant in March 2021 with an auction result of EUR 162,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Transfiguration (B. 4) von Camillo Procaccini zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.269,56) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Camillo Procaccini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Buste D'Homme Criant im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 162.500,00.
