Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scholar Along The River by Cai Jia was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The price achieved of HKD 69,300.00 (€ 7,675.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cai Jia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mountains and Rivers Without End in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 24,100,000.00 (€ 2,594,730.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Scholar Along The River von Cai Jia wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 69.300,00 (€ 7.675,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cai Jia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mountains and Rivers Without End im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 24.100.000,00 (€ 2.594.730,21).
