Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reading in the Mountains by Cai Jia was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June this year. The price achieved of HKD 35,280.00 (€ 4,122.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cai Jia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mountains and Rivers Without End in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 24,100,000.00 (€ 2,594,730.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reading in the Mountains von Cai Jia kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 35.280,00 (€ 4.122,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cai Jia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mountains and Rivers Without End im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 24.100.000,00 (€ 2.594.730,21).
