Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Rural Landscape by Cai Jia. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,155.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cai Jia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mountains and Rivers Without End in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 24,100,000.00 (€ 2,594,730.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rural Landscape von Cai Jia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.155,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cai Jia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mountains and Rivers Without End im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 24.100.000,00 (€ 2.594.730,21).
